We love music and are committed to introducing children to the world of sound, and classical music in particular, in a playful and child-friendly way. Our products accompany children through different ages and stages of development – from first discovering sounds and the joy of music to exploring musical instruments and getting to know famous composers and their pieces. Our publications are aimed at both kindergarten children and schoolchildren.
To inspire children with music, we work with creative illustrators, composers, developers and sound designers. In both traditional and digital media, we focus on appealing visuals, child-friendly controls and the highest quality of content.
We are particularly proud of our awards: App of the Year 2016 (App Store), the Parents’ Choice Gold Award and the “Leopold” media prize, awarded by the Association of German Music Schools.
Firstconcert Productions is a project by musician and cultural manager Ruth Bersch-Gómez. After studying piano at the Franz Liszt University of Music in Weimar and cultural management at the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin, she has spent more than 20 years developing digital projects for children, many of them award-winning. This makes her a pioneer of music education in digital media.
She is constantly looking for new ways to share music and enjoys developing interdisciplinary productions centred on music. With her publications, she wants to touch people through music. Together with an experienced team of illustrators, musicians, designers and programmers, she uses children’s playful curiosity to inspire them about music.
